Progress on Trent Severn Waterway Improvement
On June 16, 2014, I had my first hour of debate in the House of Commons, on my Private Member’s Motion, M-502. This motion calls on the Government of Canada to consider the advisability of measures to deepen and straighten the vessel navigation channel which provides access between Georgian Bay and the westerly limit of the Trent Severn Waterway, at Port Severn. It is an important issue not only for the safety and preservation of our boating industry, but to ensure the growth of our local economy. The complete text of my presentation before Parliament is attached for everyone’s information.
