For Immediate Release[Download not found]
MP Stanton encourages all constituents to take part in National Health and Fitness Day activities this Saturday June 6, 2015. National Health and Fitness Day was established by a motion proposed by MP John Weston in the House of Common, which became law in December 2014.
National Health and Fitness Day is an initiative to encourage Canadians to improve health through physical activity and fitness by making the first Saturday in June, each year, a day to be active in sports, walking, cycling or any of the numerous ways to be and stay fit.
Many of the municipalities in our riding have proclaimed this day and are organizing events for local residents. Residents may wish to visit their municipality’s website for further information.
MP Stanton is taking part in the Community Walk in Coldwater, (Township of Severn) and a Pickleball Game in Wyevale Park (Township of Tiny), both this Saturday, June 6th.
MP Stanton encourages constituents to get out and get active on June 6th, either at an event organized by their local municipality, or by going for a walk or run with their family or friends, playing a sport, or going swimming.
