Statement on Simcoe North Constituency Office Access

Tuesday March 17, 2020

We’re all doing our part to stop the spread of COVID-19 across our country and province.  Like many non-essential retail services, I have decided to restrict public access at my constituency offices to essential constituent meetings, by appointment only. My offices will not be open to “drop-in” access until further notice. This is in keeping with the recommendation of the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit and to protect the health of customers and my team.

My staff and I will be available as usual during normal working hours, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, by phone and email.

Midland Office 705-527-7654      Email – bruce.stanton.C1C@parl.gc.ca

Orillia Office 705 327- 0513         Email – bruce.stanton.C1F@parl.gc.ca

Ottawa Office 1-800 265-6228    Email –  bruce.stanton@parl.gc.ca

Our in-person passport screening and shipping service will be suspended for the time being.  I recommend holding off on submitting your passport application at this time, however, if you need to get your passport renewed, my office is available by phone for assistance in completing the necessary steps.

Applications can be downloaded at https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/canadian-passports/forms.html.  You should arrange the application’s shipment to Passport Canada by Canada Post or the courier of your choice. As mentioned, constituency staff will remain available by phone or email to answer any questions you may have about your application.

I will be communicating information on programs or services of the federal government aimed at helping Canadians as they cope with the effects of the COVID-19 health emergency, as they are announced. Check my website at www.brucestantonmp.ca or my Facebook page  at www.facebook.com/brucestantonmp

I encourage all residents to continue to read and follow the guidelines provided by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit and the Public Health Agency of Canada on reducing the spread of COVID-19:

Thank you for your understanding and patience. Stay well and we’ll get through this together.
