2015 Redistribution

Simcoe North in 2015

The boundaries of Simcoe North were affected by the redistribution that will come into force in 2015. After this change comes into effect, Simcoe North will consist of:

  •  (a) that part of the County of Simcoe comprised of: the townships of Tiny, Tay, Severn and Ramara; the towns of Penetanguishene and Midland; Christian Island Indian Reserve No. 30, Christian Island Indian Reserve No. 30A and Mnjikaning First Nation (Rama First Nation) Indian Reserve No. 32; and
  • (b) the City of Orillia.

The population of the riding will be 101,041 after the re-distribution.

Residents who live south and west of Line 9 in Oro-Medonte Township will be in the newly created riding of Barrie-Springwater- Oro-Medonte for the next federal election in 2015. Similarly, those living to the south and east of Vasey Road and west of Line 9 will also be in the new riding. The map, showing is the boundaries, is below:
