Government of Canada Supports Coldwater Steampunk Festival 2015

Celebrating Arts and Heritage in Simcoe North

July 21, 2015 – Coldwater, Ontario – Department of Canadian Heritage

The Government of Canada is providing $4,400 through the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program to support the Simcoe County Steampunk Society in presenting the 5th edition of the Coldwater Steampunk Festival on August 7 and 8, 2015. Bruce Stanton, Member of Parliament for Simcoe North, made this announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

“I congratulate the Simcoe County Steampunk Society on their efforts to promote local artists and attract visitors to Simcoe. The Coldwater Steampunk Festival is a great opportunity for Simcoe residents and visitors to get together to enjoy unique artistic displays and performances” said Mr. Stanton.
