Education First Youth Ambassadors For Canada Program Launched
I was proud to help host an information session for MP’s and Senators regarding a new, 5-year, Youth Ambassador Program, operated by Education First. Education First (EF) is a leading provider of educational tours for high-school students, operating in 50 countries world-wide.
Each year, 30 Secondary School age Canadians are chosen; two from each Territory and Province and four at-large, to be Ambassadors for Canada. They have the privilege of participating in one international trip and attending a conference in Ottawa where they will meet with legislators, senior officials and public affairs organizations. In 2017, the trip will be to France in commemoration of the centennial of the battle of Vimy Ridge.

Parliamentarians are being asked to help communicate this unique opportunity to their communities. The program is application-based. Ambassadors travel and expenses are all paid by Education First. There is no government subsidy in this program.
